    Not all gold plating is the same. Thickness, base metal and seal decide whether a piece looks like gold in two years or in two weeks, and almost nobody selling plated jewellery online will tell you which of the three they cut corners on.

    Our finish is an 18K gold layer over a hypoallergenic, nickel-free base, sealed with an anti-tarnish coat. It is heavier than the flash-plating used on costume jewellery, which is why our pieces cost more and last considerably longer.

    Every piece in Naira Petite carries the same finish specification, whether it is a ₹1,500 stud or a full pavé bracelet. Care instructions ship with the box.

    Thick plating, not flash

    Flash-plating measures in fractions of a micron and wears through at contact points within weeks. Ours is built for daily contact.

    How long does 18K gold plated jewellery last?
    A thick, sealed plating like ours holds its colour for years of regular wear. Thin flash-plated costume jewellery typically shows wear at contact points within a few weeks.
    Is 18K gold plated jewellery real gold?
    The outer layer is real 18K gold bonded to a base metal. It is not solid gold, and it should not be priced or resold as such, but visually and in wear it behaves like gold.
    Can I wear gold plated jewellery every day?
    Yes. Put it on last after perfume and lotion, take it off before swimming or the shower, and wipe it with a dry soft cloth after wear.
    Does gold plated jewellery come with a guarantee?
